Megan. Meg. Meg-a-boo. Meggo-my-Eggo. There really aren't words to describe this person in my life. When I was in kindergarten I took her to show and tell as my favorite toy. When we were young, she was a great play mate and a fun room mate. In high school we used to watch The Parent Trap every weekend while we painted our nails.
But I don't know that I appreciated her fully until we grew up. The year after I graduated from college, I lived in Abilene and she was a freshman at ACU. She came over every Sunday afternoon for Sister Day. We would do laundry every week and throw a few things at each other. :) Now that we've grown up a little more we've grown closer and become better friends. And, we still throw things at each other on a regular basis.
Meg-a-boo and I could not be more different! She's quiet and reserved and leads with her head. I'm her total opposite in almost every way! However, I love spending time with her. We are truly sisters by chance and friends by choice.Hammond Bridehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01400743803996709357noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2105680170533331636.post-23915179792486512582011-06-06T11:04:00.000-07:002011-06-06T11:04:11.767-07:00School's OutI think every teacher in the U.S. hums that age old rock song in the last days of the school year. My mind has been filled with a never ending chorus of "No more pencils, no more books. No more teacher's dirty looks. School's out for summer!" (You're welcome, by the way. That song will be stuck in your head the rest of the day.)

I'm thrilled about the months ahead and the chance to enjoy some much needed family time. But, I will miss the sweet babies that have filled my heart for the last 9 months. Sadly, most of them will attend kindergarten at another campus so I may not see them again. However, I'm thrilled to announce that I will return to Pre-K next year and this year I will be in my very own classroom. :- ) I will spend the summer working hard to collect the many many things my new class will need to learn as they play.

The end of school is also filled a tiny bit of joy as I make plans for the next school year. Things will be different next year. I will write all of my lesson plans in my book (instead of on the scraps of paper they were scribbled on this year). I will plan my themes completely. I will never raise my voice at my new class. The promise of the future is what draws me back year after year.Hammond Bridehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01400743803996709357noreply@blogger.com0
